FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
AIRWAYS IS OFFICIAL CARRIER OF THE LARGEST SHOW
IN NORTH AMERICA
LAS VEGAS, NEVADA—Airways Freight Corporation, a
global transportation services firm based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, in
conjunction with Lowry & Hogan, a Chicago-based independent cargo sales
firm has successfully completed inbound and outbound operations for
CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2008 and IFPE 2008, serving as the Official International
Air/Ocean Forwarder, and Domestic Air Freight Carrier for the combined events.
Covering over 2.28 million square feet and attracting nearly 150,000 attendees,
the five-day show is the largest industry event of any kind in North America.
Comprising all of the Las Vegas Convention Center, including all of its
surrounding outdoor lots, The Hilton Hotel and the Riviera Convention Centers,
a walk around the circumference of the show would be over five miles in length.
Airways Freight successfully shipped hundreds of thousands of kilos of
equipment and display material for international exhibitors via air and ocean
to and from the event. On-site supervision, administrative and customs
documentations were accomplished by Airways personnel, as well as assisting
exhibitors with re-exportation of goods after the show. On the domestic side,
there were numerous trucks of every configuration hauling enormous equipment –
all managed by Airways. This included flatbeds, drop-decks, low-boys, as well
as dry vans for more standard-size exhibit materials. Last minute air shipments
were also handled. “While Airways has successfully accomplished Official
Carrier operations on behalf of many of the largest show organizers in the
world, the CONEXPO-CON/AGG and IFPE 2008 event is by some measure the largest
we have ever undertaken,” commented Airways’ CEO, Dale Caudle. “We are pleased
to be a part of this great event, and the industry it represents.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
C-TPAT Certification for Airways
Freight
FAYETTEVILLE - Airways Freight Corporation joins
forces with the U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) in the Customs – Trade
Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) initiative. In an effort to serve a
significant role in strengthening U.S. border security, Airways will comply
with procedures defined by the CBP to ensure safety along the entire portion of
the supply chain that we control – from point of origin to final destination.
C-TPAT membership will require Airways to maintain written processes that are
in place with all business partners within our network of service providers as
well as all corporate facilities. These security procedures must be verifiable,
and Airways will be required to demonstrate that our transportation partners
are in compliance with CBP standards. Michael J. Beckers, Vice President of
Ocean Services for Airways Freight says, “Since the International security
landscape has drastically changed since 9/11, and we are witnessing the
evolution of an advanced global shipping process, Airways has taken great
strides to improve its own supply chain and we are proud to have been certified
as a C-TPAT partner effective July 11, 2007.” Beckers continues, “We see
ourselves as an integral part of our customers’ supply chain, be it by Air,
Land or Sea and are therefore committed to supporting our customers to deal
with keeping their supply chains moving efficiently.”
